Marc Goldstein

Marc Goldstein presents recent projects he has worked on while a partner at Skidmore Owings and Merrill in San Francisco. He discusses the addition of both interior design and urban planning to the work of the office, and presents a series of projects of varied scales. These include hotels, casinos, banks, and offices. Goldstein describes some of his personal interests, including the relationship to site. In rural areas, this means maintaining existing foliage to create spatial relationships between interior and exterior. In urban areas, this results in geometric strategies that take into account the nuances of grids and city organizations.
