Margaret Crawford introduces Susana Torre as an architect, author, educator, and feminist. Torre discusses the historic representation of women in public space as passive subscribers to consumerism and objectification. She describes some efforts women have made to alter perceptions through the use of public space. Torre suggest that architecture is a surogate for the institutional body.
