Jeffrey Kipnis & Marcelo Spina-clip_9732

Wolf Prix proposes that the most significant topic for discussion is actually the way clients exploit architects through competitions, as in Spina’s entry to the Budapest museum competition. Jeffrey Kipnis notes that architects don’t address competition juries the same way they address colleagues. He also notes Spina’s way of deriving multiple forms from a small motif, in the manner of Beethoven. Spina declares himself interested in formal issues but also interested in the multiple issues that arise in construction.
