Davolio discusses the casino project Luna Nova, in Macau, SAR (Special Administrative Region), China. Through utilization of advanced parametric design, Davolio transitioned a Rhinoceros conceptual wireframe model into a cladding system, as well as structural system, through the generation of rationalized surfaces. He was able to achieve standardization of panels, which subsequently achieved less customization and maintained budgetary constraints. From the utilization of parametric systems, scripting, grids, and geometry came rational and intelligent surfaces. This permitted negotiation among engineers for optimization of efficiency.
