Jaron Lanier discusses the implications of virtual reality on architecture. He describes a series of projects where VR is used to simulate interior spaces as well as larger scale urban virtual worlds such as the one created for the city of Berlin. Lanier goes on to discuss the possibility of virtual reality evolving into a new type of technology that would mix the two worlds of physical and virtual environments, allow users to interact directly with their surroundings.
